Maximum dry desulfurization unit operation 1100 days

As of March 1, the dry desulfurization unit at the 8-3 central station of the second gathering and transportation section of Tahe No. 2 Production Plant has safely operated for 1,100 consecutive days, successfully processing nearly 100 million cubic meters of high-sulfur natural gas. This achievement highlights the efficiency and reliability of the facility in handling one of the most challenging types of natural gas. The 8-3 dry desulfurization plant was officially commissioned in April 2005. It consists of six sub-towers, divided into three groups—T1 and T2—which operate alternately to ensure continuous processing. Designed and manufactured entirely within China, this system is currently the largest dry desulfurization unit in the country, showcasing the nation's technological advancement in environmental protection and energy processing. Given the high hydrogen sulfide content in the natural gas produced alongside crude oil, some wells can emit up to 150,000 ppm of hydrogen sulfide. To manage this, the 8-3 central station employs a "dynamic cycle monitoring technology" during the switching of T1 and T2 desulfurizer groups, ensuring optimal sulfur capacity and operational efficiency. The system processes over 60,000 cubic meters of natural gas daily, with treated dry gas maintaining a hydrogen sulfide concentration between 0 and 20 ppm—well below safety and environmental standards. This successful operation not only supports the sustainable development and utilization of oil and gas resources but also plays a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance and ensuring safe production practices. The project stands as a model for integrating environmental protection with industrial progress, demonstrating how advanced technology can address complex challenges in the energy sector.

Construction Features:

1.The power head of drilling rig can change speed both mechanically and hydraulically. Suitable for down-hole Hammer,eel pipe, full casing and alloy rotary drilling methods.

2.Two large cylinders on the mast, lifting force up to 25 tons, eccentric with pipe drilling can be used to pull out casing,but also for small-scale non-excavation construction.

3.The rig uses inside and outside telescopic mast power head travel up to 7 meters, can drill 23 meters drill pipe at a time, reduce a time to add drill pipe, improve efficiency twice.
