Sulphur-coated urea urea standard was issued and will be implemented
The National Development and Reform Commission recently announced that it has approved a total of 351 industrial standards, including the "Identification of Vehicle Fuel Consumption." Among these, 18 chemical industry standards have been finalized, one of which is the standard for sulfur-coated urea, designated as HG/T 3997-2008. This standard was officially released in July 2008 and became effective from the 1st of that month. The publication of chemical industry standards is handled by the Chemical Industry Press.
This new standard marks another step forward in the development of more efficient and sustainable fertilizers, following the previous release of industry standards for "controlled-release fertilizers." It reflects an ongoing effort to improve agricultural productivity while reducing environmental impact.
Additionally, it has been reported that the standard development plan for inhibited (stable) slow-release fertilizers, led by the Shenyang Institute of Ecology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has also commenced. This initiative aims to further enhance fertilizer efficiency and promote eco-friendly agricultural practices. With such advancements, the industry is moving toward more sustainable and precise nutrient management solutions.
