In line with the spirit of the "Notice on Sanchuangsanqing Activities" issued by the municipal party committee and government, Danyang Sewage Treatment Plant has actively embraced its role as a driving force in economic and social development. As a key player in the "sprint," "takeoff," and "guarantee" initiatives, the plant has continuously advanced with the times, embracing reform and innovation. It has significantly strengthened sewage treatment efforts, contributing to the improvement of both urban and social environments, achieving remarkable outcomes.
In 2007, the first phase of the sewage treatment project successfully passed the full completion acceptance by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The facility treated over 12.2 million tons of wastewater annually, achieving significant reductions: 168 tons of COD, 3,160 tons of BOD, 2,624 tons of SS, 346 tons of NH3N, and 24 tons of TP. The quality of treated wastewater met the discharge standards specified in "GB18918—2002 — Class I B," providing a strong environmental foundation for major transformations in the city's economic and social development.
Based on the responsibility statement from the "Three Civilizations" assessment targets set by the Municipal Construction Bureau, the plant focused on its ten annual work objectives. All staff members worked together with unity and innovation, striving to enhance service environment construction and writing a new chapter for the city’s next stage of economic and social progress.
