The SG50A continuous wall hydraulic grab is an upgraded version of the SG46A, one of the mainstream products of the Shanghai Jintai SG series. Based on the reliable and stable market evaluation of SG46A, in order to adapt to new emission standards, further improve construction efficiency and reduce energy consumption, the SG50A continuous wall hydraulic grab was developed. Compared with the SG46A, the SG50A has the advantages of higher groove formation efficiency, greater deep trench excavation capability, lower unit fuel consumption, and further improvement in control system and stability.

The SG50A presents a number of highlights in system upgrades and improvements: First, the powertrain is upgraded to a Cummins QSM11 (266 kW) engine that meets Euro III emission standards, and unit energy consumption is reduced. Secondly, the hoist motor, reducer, and wire rope arrangement are used. Both upgrades and improvements, the improved hoisting system can effectively reduce the loss of wire rope, while the overall lifting force is increased from 46 tons to 50 tons, the lifting and lowering speed of the grab is also improved, and the hoisting is short. The stroke fast release impact function increases the excavation ability of complex formations; again, the SG50A is more comfortable and convenient than the SG46A in terms of equipment handling, in addition to real-time monitoring of visual chemical conditions, automatic brightness adjustment of the display, bucket offset alarm, hydraulic oil level Monitoring, alarming, mast tilt sensing devices and equipment maintenance reminders, etc., can also realize the recording, storage and remote transmission of operational data.
