Continental announced today that it plans to build a new R&D center in Chongqing at the 7th Global Automotive Forum. This R&D center is dedicated to the development of automotive electronics applications, new energy vehicles and industrial applications and solutions, with system requirements development, software development, electronic design, mechanical design and corresponding system and product testing capabilities. The R&D center will have a R&D staff of 400 by 2020, and it is expected that the number of employees will increase to 1,000 by 2025 and is expected to be put into use in early 2018.
