China's 14 companies formally signed the commitment letter

In order to promote the development of circular economy and speed up the construction of a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society, the National Development and Reform Commission recently signed a commitment letter with 14 companies such as FAW Group in Beijing and officially launched the pilot work of auto parts remanufacturing.

Xie Zhenhua, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, said at the launch ceremony that China has entered the automobile society. Currently, there are more than 3 million vehicles scrapped every year. This effectively recycles and reuses renewable resources in used cars, which is the sustainable development of China's auto industry. A major issue facing us. He believes that China's remanufacturing industry is still in its infancy and there is a big gap with foreign countries. In addition to the need for gradual improvement of remanufacturing technology, it is necessary to establish corresponding support and encouragement policies and mechanisms. At the same time, we must ensure the quality of products and ensure the safety of people's lives.

Dong Yang, executive vice president of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and head of the Auto Parts Remanufacturing Expert Group, said that China has become a world leader in automobile production. Last year, the auto production reached 8.88 million, and this year it is expected to hit 10 million. By 2010, the number of cars may reach 65 million, and the annual scrap will exceed 4 million. By 2010, the demand for automotive spare parts in China will be around 65 billion yuan. If 5% uses remanufactured products, it will need 3.8 billion yuan for remanufacturing products. At present, auto parts remanufacturing products are less than 700 million yuan each year, which has a broad market prospect.

Remanufacturing is a production process that restores waste products to the same technical performance and product quality as the original product. In developed countries such as Europe and the United States, the remanufacturing of used machinery and electronic products has been in existence for decades. Among them, remanufactured automobile engines have accounted for more than 85% of the repair parts market. Remanufacturing can not only reduce resource consumption and environmental pollution from the source, but also improve the competitiveness of traditional industries and provide a large number of employment opportunities.
