Foton Motor Group and ZF AG have set up Futian ZF Light Automatic Transmission (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Foton ZF) and ZF Foton Automatic Transmission (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd. According to the product plan, the Foton ZF joint venture will mainly produce light commercial vehicle gearboxes, while the ZF Foton joint venture will mainly produce heavy commercial vehicle gearboxes. Among them, the first phase of the light commercial vehicle gearbox project will be put into production on January 1, 2019, with an annual output of 160,000 light commercial vehicle gearboxes. The Beiqi Foton ZF high-end automatic transmission project is a Phase I project of the Beiqi Futian Yangtze River Delta Industrial Base with a total investment of 20 billion yuan. Beiqi Futian Yangtze River Delta Industrial Base is the first vehicle manufacturing project in Jiaxing. It was signed on November 18 last year in the Provincial People’s Great Hall. After the signing of the contract, with the joint efforts of the project party and the relevant departments of the city and the district, the project can be rapidly promoted.
