The E-type surface aerator is composed of three main components: the motor, the transmission system, and the aeration impeller. It is designed to efficiently mix and oxygenate water bodies by rotating an impeller at the water surface, which helps in improving water quality and promoting biological processes.
There are two main installation types for the entire unit: fixed and floating.
A. Fixed Type: The unit is permanently installed on a structure above the water. The impeller is arranged vertically with the drive shaft. Key components include a planetary cycloid reducer, base, floating disk coupling, bearings, drive shaft, and other supporting parts. This configuration is ideal for stable environments where the water level remains relatively constant.
B. Floating Type: In this setup, the aerator is mounted on a floating platform. This allows the unit to move up and down with the water level, making it suitable for oxidation ponds, oxidation ditches, and aeration basins where water levels fluctuate significantly. Additionally, it can be moved horizontally within a certain range as required, offering greater flexibility in application.
