Yesterday’s post mentioned that a few local fire departments showcased their equipment at the FDIC. Among them were Buffalo Grove, Winfield, Oswego FPD, Carol Stream, and Cicero. I’ll dive into each one below.
Starting with **Buffalo Grove**, they featured two impressive vehicles. First up is a Ferrara tower ladder that caught everyone's attention. It’s a beast of a machine, perfect for high-rise firefighting. The second vehicle is a Ferrara Igniter engine, sleek and powerful, designed to handle any situation swiftly. Moving on to **Winfield Fire Protection District (FPD)**, they presented a stunning Pierce Impel PUC pumper-tanker combo. This rig is not only functional but also highly efficient, designed to tackle both water supply and firefighting operations seamlessly. Again, Larry Shapiro did an excellent job capturing these images.
Next, we have **Oswego FPD** with their impressive Pierce Arrow XT 100’ aluminum tower ladder.
