Wide-ranging performance
Decanter centrifuges from Hongji Separator deliver exceptional performance in separating solids from liquids, enabling continuous, efficient, and controlled operation. These machines are designed to handle a wide range of solid particle sizes, from 5mm down to microns, and can process slurries with solid content ranging from as low as 0.1% w/w to over 65% w/w.

The feed suspension is introduced into the conveyor's feed zone, where it is accelerated and directed into the bowl. The settled solids are conveyed axially toward the small end of the bowl by the screw conveyor, which rotates at a slightly different speed than the bowl. As they move toward the discharge ports, the solids are lifted out of the pond along the dry beach. They are then discharged through the ports into the casing’s collecting chamber, from where they are removed by gravity through an outlet funnel. The liquid forms a hollow cylinder due to centrifugal force and flows toward the large end of the bowl, overflowing adjustable plate dams into the centrate chamber before being discharged by gravity.

Mud Dewater Separator
The light liquid phase is discharged into the casing through radial holes in the large end hub, while the heavy liquid phase exits through axial holes. The radius for the light liquid is smaller than that of the heavy one. The liquid level is controlled by plate dams. To prevent the light liquid from exiting through the heavy liquid outlet, a separating plate is placed inside the large end hub. The heavy liquid must pass under this plate before being discharged. The radius for the heavy liquid is also regulated by plate dams. The solids are discharged normally.

Features
All components in contact with the product are made of stainless steel. A 3-phase AC motor enables controlled torque starting via a frequency converter. Bowl speed is adjustable via VFD for optimal G-force and separation efficiency. The pond depth in the bowl is adjustable to balance liquid clarity and solids dryness. Conveying speed is also adjustable for optimal performance. Low labor costs due to continuous and automatic operation. High G-force for increased solids output. Automatic differential speed adjustment via VFD. Two motor drive system. Belts for both primary and secondary motors.

Materials
The bowl, conveyor, inlet tube, outlets, cover, and other parts in direct contact with the process media are all made of stainless steel. Discharge ports, conveyor flights, and feed zones are protected with highly erosion-resistant materials. The frame is constructed from mild steel with an epoxy enamel finish.

Wear Protection
Hongji Separator offers a wide range of wear protection solutions tailored for various applications, including: welded hard facing or spray coating, ceramic, tungsten carbide tiles, chilled hard metal port castings, and plastic liners.

Design
The rotating assembly of these decanter centrifuges is mounted on a compact, inline frame with main bearings at both ends. Vibration dampers are installed beneath the frame. The rotating part is enclosed in a casing with a cover and a bottom section featuring integrated outlets for both solids and the liquid being removed.

Decanter Centrifuge Drive System

One Motor Drive: This design is simple and cost-effective, suitable when the solids volume is constant, easy to convey, and residual water content requirements are not strict. The input shaft is driven by the main motor through a belt drive, generating the differential speed based on bowl speed and gear transmission. Replacing belt pulleys allows for easy adjustments.

Two Motor Drive: Enables cost-effective differential speed regulation under good operating conditions, offering a wide range of adjustment. The secondary motor drives the gear input shaft, generating the differential speed based on bowl speed and gear transmission. Differential speed can be easily adjusted by changing the motor speed. Used when solids volume fluctuates significantly, or when conveying difficult materials, or when stringent residual water content requirements apply.

Hydro Drive: Similar to the two motor drive but uses a rotating hydromotor instead of a mechanical gear. It is supplied with hydraulic regulation by a pump unit, allowing automatic differential speed control without issues.
