Wide-ranging performance
Decanter centrifuges from Hongji Separator deliver exceptional performance when separating solids from liquids, enabling continuous, efficient, and controllable operation. These machines are designed to handle a wide range of solid particles, from 5mm down to a few microns, and can process slurries with solid content ranging from as low as 0.1% w/w up to more than 65% w/w.

The feed suspension is introduced through an inlet pipe into the feed zone of the conveyor, where it is accelerated and directed into the bowl. The settled solids are conveyed axially towards the small end of the bowl by the screw conveyor, which rotates at a slightly different speed than the bowl. As they move toward the discharge ports, the solids are lifted out of the pond along the dry beach and finally discharged through the ports into the collecting chamber. From there, they are removed via gravity through the outlet funnel. The liquid phase forms a hollow cylinder due to centrifugal force and flows toward the large end of the bowl. It overflows adjustable plate dams into the centrate chamber and is discharged by gravity.

The light liquid phase is discharged through radial holes in the large end hub, while the heavy liquid phase exits through axial holes. The radius for the light liquid is smaller than that of the heavy liquid. The liquid level is controlled by plate dams. A separating plate is placed inside the large end hub to prevent the light liquid from exiting through the heavy liquid outlet. The heavy liquid must pass under the plate before being discharged. The radius for the heavy liquid is also controlled by plate dams, and the solids are discharged normally.
Features
All product-contact parts are made of stainless steel. A 3-phase AC motor allows for controlled torque starting via frequency converter. Bowl speed is adjustable via VFD to achieve optimal G-force for better separation. The pond depth in the bowl is adjustable for balancing liquid clarity and solids dryness. Conveying speed is also adjustable for optimized performance. Low personnel costs due to continuous and automatic operation. Highest G-force for higher solids output. Automatic differential speed adjustment via VFD. Two motor drive system. Belts for both primary and secondary motors.
Materials
The bowl, conveyor, inlet tube, outlets, cover, and other components in direct contact with the process media are all constructed from stainless steel. Discharge ports, conveyor flights, and feed zones are protected with highly erosion-resistant materials. The frame is made of mild steel with an epoxy enamel finish.

Design
The rotating assembly of these decanter centrifuges is mounted on a compact, in-line frame with main bearings at both ends. Vibration dampers are installed beneath the frame. The rotating part is enclosed within a casing that includes a cover and a bottom section with integrated outlets for solids and liquid removal.
Decanter Centrifuge Drive System
One motor drive: This simple design is cost-effective for purchase and operation. It is suitable when solids volume is constant, easy to convey, and residual water content requirements are not strict. The input shaft is driven by the main motor via a belt drive, generating differential speed based on bowl speed and gear transmission. Belt pulleys can be replaced easily for adjustments.
Two motor drive: This system enables cost-effective differential speed regulation under good operating conditions. It is ideal when solid volumes fluctuate, solids are difficult to convey, or stringent requirements for residual water content exist. The secondary motor controls the input shaft, and differential speed is adjusted by changing the motor speed.
Hydro drive: Similar to two motor drive but uses a hydromotor instead of mechanical gears. Hydraulic regulation is provided by a pump unit, allowing automatic differential speed control based on oil flow rate.
