Previously, we’ve discussed CE marks and their importance, but there’s a new development specifically for products being sold in Great Britain. Introducing the UKCA mark! What exactly is this new certification? The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark is the updated branding requirement for certain products sold in Great Britain. This applies to many items that previously required CE marking, such as pressure equipment. Starting January 1, 2020, the UKCA marking became mandatory, and from December 31, 2021, only products displaying the UKCA mark will be accepted in Great Britain. We’ve partnered with TÜV UK Ltd. (0879) for our UKCA marking services, ensuring compliance with all necessary assessment procedures. We’re proud to say that our products already bear the UKCA mark, and the relevant certificates have been issued. For pressure equipment and assemblies below the specified pressure/volume thresholds, safety remains a priority. These items should still be designed and manufactured following good engineering practices (SEP), carry the necessary markings, but they do not require the UKCA mark. This means we’re authorized to supply UKCA-marked housings for both standard and specialty products.
