Japan developed a dual-power energy-saving fishing boat

Recently, the first double-powered energy-saving new scallop fishing boat "66th Shin-Yong Maru" jointly developed by the two companies in Tokyo was launched at the tribal fishing port of Yakumo-cho, Hokkaido. The ship has a displacement of 9.7 tons, and the diesel engine and electric motor are controlled by a computer. In offshore operations that do not require acceleration, the use of electric motors can save half of the fuel. When fishing and returning to Hong Kong, it uses dual power to sail at the same speed as the original ship. One voyage can save fuel by 20% to 30%.
