The petrochemical integrated plant includes a 570,000-ton/year ethylene cracker with ethane as raw material and polyethylene and other downstream derivatives. It is expected to begin construction by the end of 2007 and be completed and put into operation by the end of 2010. Westlake Chemical said that as long as more ethane can be obtained, the device still has room for expansion.
