Excerpts from ChicagoTribune.com: A lightning strike on Thursday afternoon caused a fire that engulfed the roof of a home in Hainesville, according to local authorities. The incident was reported at 12:20 p.m. when a 911 call came in about a house fire on the 200 block of Big Horn Drive. Emergency crews arrived on the scene and found a significant portion of the roof already ablaze. Firefighters quickly worked to contain the flames and prevent further damage to the structure.
