Antioch Fire is added to the site
The Antioch Fire Department and First Fire District is a volunteer fire department located on the northern edge of Illinois, within Lake County's Quad 2. The department operates from three stations, each equipped with a variety of apparatus. They currently have two Pirsch units still in service, although one will be auctioned off once a new engine arrives in January. The department has transitioned from being an all-Pirsch department, but their legacy remains visible in their fleet.
Each station is equipped with a brush unit, along with either an engine or a tanker that holds at least 2,000 gallons of water. Their current apparatus includes a US Tanker, an Alexis pumper, a Pierce engine, and a 3D rescue unit. Station 1 also houses the Quad 2 rehab unit, the Quad 2 air boat, and a newly acquired unit called the Fast Attack Response Truck, which enhances their rapid response capabilities.
Several photographs capture the department’s equipment and facilities. One image shows a Pirsch pumper/tanker, while another highlights a Pirsch pumper. A third photo features Antioch Fire Department Station 3, located at 2475 West Grass Lake Road. Another image showcases the Quad 2 rehab unit, demonstrating the department’s commitment to providing essential emergency services in the region. These images offer a glimpse into the daily operations and resources of this dedicated volunteer fire department.
