Autodesk Announces Executive Leadership Team Hires
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., February 25, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), a global leader in design and manufacturing software, announced the appointment of Debbie Clifford as Chief Financial Officer, effective March 8, 2021, and Raji Arasu as Chief Technology Officer, beginning April 19, 2021.
Debbie Clifford, who is stepping into this role after serving as CFO at SurveyMonkey, is returning to Autodesk after a fruitful 13-year stint in various financial leadership capacities. Her extensive background in finance, strategy, and operations will be crucial as she takes charge of all financial functions including accounting, tax, treasury, operations, and investor relations. Cliffords' career also includes a seat on the board of Harmonic, a prominent video technology company, and she earned her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business after studying Political Science at UCLA.
"I couldn't be happier to rejoin Autodesk," said Clifford. "This feels like coming home. I'm eager to work alongside such a skilled team again and contribute to driving the next chapter of Autodesk's growth. The company's commitment to excellence in design and making, combined with its vibrant culture, makes it an ideal place to be during such a pivotal time."
Raji Arasu, joining Autodesk from Intuit where she was Senior Vice President of Platform Engineering, will take over the reins from outgoing CTO Scott Borduin, who plans to retire later this year. Arasu's mandate is clear: she will be responsible for steering the company's technological direction while aligning it with both long-term innovation goals and immediate tech needs. With over 25 years of experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, payments, and fintech systems, Arasu has consistently led transformative changes across people, products, platforms, and processes to enhance customer experiences and drive revenue growth.
At Intuit, Arasu played a key role in shaping the company's platform strategy and fostering a strong culture of innovation. She also spearheaded Intuit's transition to the cloud and expanded critical core capabilities that accelerated innovation for its customers. Before Intuit, she was the CTO of StubHub and held significant leadership roles at eBay.
"I'm truly excited about the chance to lead such a talented group of technologists at Autodesk," said Arasu. "It's an incredibly opportune moment to join the company as we aim to provide solutions that empower our customers to create meaningful impacts on their products, businesses, and the world at large."
