Point to point power supply:

Advantages: 220V AC voltage loss during transmission, strong anti-interference ability.

Disadvantages: Each point must be installed a power supply, construction is more troublesome.

Centralized power supply:

Centralized power supply: Connect a 12V centralized power supply to a 220V power supply, and then connect the 2*1.0 red and black power cables to the camera. The 12V power supply distance must not exceed 100 meters. After connecting a single power cable connector, connect a single power cable connector and surveillance camera power connector. The centralized power supply mode refers to centralized power supply to the front-end load using a 12V switching power supply in the splicing screen monitoring room or an intermediate point.

Advantages: construction is more convenient and easy to maintain.

POE power supply:

POE power supply refers to the technology that provides DC power to other devices without any changes to the existing Ethernet Cat.5 cabling infrastructure. This method is mainly applied to high-definition network digital monitoring system. Advantages: Cost reduction, flexible deployment, and maximum single port power up to 30W.

Disadvantages: High quality requirements on the network cable, limited transmission distance.

When using infrared cameras, centralized power supply is not recommended. Because the current is large when the infrared is turned on, it is difficult to ensure the infrared effect of all cameras by the centralized power supply mode.

Point-to-point power supply, nearest access to electricity, can save lines, is a big savings, but after-sales maintenance, extremely difficult to maintain; this is positive, centralized power supply has a benefit, after the maintenance is simple; not easy problems, but not The more you cross the wire, if you just leave this one, then you use point-to-point power, which is long-term use of centralized power.
