The SAIC-GM-Wuling LMU 1.2L engine and the Dongfeng Yueda Kia G4FC 1.6L engine stood out from many participating models and became the top ten engine of the year.

The SAIC-GM-Wuling LMU 1.2L engine and the Dongfeng Yueda Kia G4FC 1.6L engine stood out from many participating models and became the top ten engine of the year.
The "Top Ten Chinese" engine selection campaign of the year began in 2006. The theme of this year is "Energy conservation, environmental protection, and power China." Three groups of 1.3L (inclusive), 1.3L to 1.6L (inclusive), and 1.6L to 2.0L (inclusive) were set for the event. A total of 28 products from 24 companies were registered for participation. Among the products that won the title of the top ten engines in this year, seven of them had displacements below 1.6L, which fully responded to the government's policies on energy saving and emission reduction and adjustment of industrial structure.
