3-Alarm fire in Crystal Lake, 11-3-15

A fire broke out at a single-family home in unincorporated Crystal Lake, leaving one person injured.

The incident occurred just after 6:30 a.m., when firefighters arrived at 6015 Blue Court to find the structure fully engulfed in flames. Emergency crews quickly worked to contain the blaze and ensure the safety of those inside.

A resident was treated on-site for undisclosed injuries before being transported to a local hospital. Fortunately, no firefighters were reported injured during the operation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and authorities are working to determine how the fire started.

Initial estimates suggest that the damage to the home and its contents could exceed $300,000. Firefighters were seen working tirelessly at the scene, with multiple units responding to what was classified as a 3-alarm fire.
